Congrats! Same for me this morning.

Do you know if it only applies to Ukrainian citizens to schedule their medical exam in another doctors office in Europe? Because still, the waiting time for an appointment in Germany is insanely long.

Also, we have to fill out the DS-260 and send the required documents and after they approved those we can schedule an appointment for an interview, right? 🙂

I'm not too sure about the medical. I'm planning on doing it in Hamburg or Berlin most likely. I'm going to fill out the DS-260 when my wife is here on Saturday and work on the other documentation until then.

Have you called the other medical offices? I saw one of them had slot for Wednesday (much too soon).

The interview is scheduled online after you mail them your DS-260 an required documentation they request and they tell you they have processed them, yes.

I'm guessing we don't need to take extra copies of marriage/divorce docs then?

Congratulations on your approval too! That's pretty wild we both got it at the same time.

I contacted the medical in Hamburg and they told me that they're not offering the medical examiniation at the moment. Berlin told me they have appointments available in the middle of August. But I've also contacted a doctors office in Vienna and they had an appointment available the next week, but I'm also not sure if this only applies to Ukrainian citizens at the moment due to the circumstances.

Okay, thank you!

I was wondering the same. In the email it says we have to provide one original and one copy of the marriage certificate, I guess my husband and I will just send it once again since they're asking for it. But I'm not sure about the divorce papers, my husband is divorced and hes the petitioner, so I don't know whether or not we have to send his divorce papers in there as well.

I will email the consulate today and ask about the medical. I worry about being able to get into Austria for my wife to do a medical though.

Can't she travel with her SOFA card? Could you keep me updated on that? That would be very nice and I would very much appreciate that. We have a baby on the way and it seems impossible for me to join my husband when there are appointments available only in August. 😅 He's about to leave at the end of June.

She gets unlimited/unrestricted entry and exit from Germany. I would probably try and travel by train to reduce chance of passport check/immigration. I will let you know what they say for sure
