Hey all,

So I just got approved for my NEXUS today (woo!) after an extremely long wait of 14 months to get an interview plus 3 years of waiting to become eligible due to the CBSA's residency requirement for PR's! So, I'm a PR of Canada and the US, due to living in the US and working in Canada. It doesn't seem to be documented anywhere but yes, having PR in both countries is no problem for NEXUS, nor is having the 2 year conditional green card. The biggest hurdle was walking through the officer with all my updated info as I originally applied before I moved to the US and became a LPR, but outside of that it was an easy and smooth approval. I also mentioned to both CBP and CBSA that I had a pending citizenship application in Canada and they mentioned for me to come back once I had the Canadian passport.

Hopefully this info will be of use to other members here looking to do the same! :)

Edit: Ooops, this was posted in the wrong board, mods, please move this to the Canada Regional Sub-Forum. Thanks!

We need to update our LPR status on our accounts, but we haven't travelled when one of the NEXUS/Global Entry offices have been open.

It will make your life a LOT easier.  Congrats on finally obtaining the interview and securing your card!
