Question: when are NVC's real call center hours? They claim to be open 7 to midnight but I'm calling them now (10:30PM EST) and they say they're closed... right before saying they work until midnight. Is there something I'm missing here? Are the only two phone numbers 603-334-0888 and 603-334-0700?

when they are overwhelmed, you're going to get that standard response that their agents are not available at this time. you can only keep trying at a later time. I called 57 times yesterday before I got through to an agent and there was no wait at all (the one that got through was at 11:56PM EST)

Thank you! So they are actually open now, they just hit you with the auto-response when overwhelmed?

In my experience, calling at or after 10:00pm EST would say that they were closed. I think that their times changed with covid and they never updated the recording or any publications.

As for phone number, I always got the fastest response calling the nonimmigrant visa line, which is the 0888 number. I do believe that those are their only two numbers.

Sorry, but this not true, they did adjust for COVID but are back to the regular stated hours, I managed to get a hold of them at 11:56PM EST yesterday

This totally makes sense! I just stopped trying after 10:00pm because I figured that their hours changed.

I've tried a few days in a row between 10PM - 11:30 PM and it's pretty much always that unavailable recording. Couple times where I've got through was right when they were about to close. But the best for me was right when they opened

Interesting, thank you for the insight - I'll be up another hour anyway lol, so I'll start trying them again in roughly 30 minutes. Regardless, though, they still do open promptly at 7am?

from what I've tried, yes, they do.

FYI, I think our timelines are quite similar and when I called yesterday, they said that my case is not in their system yet, so I don't even have a case number

Really? Do you know if your petition was 'in the building,' at least? I called yesterday morning and was told it had arrived 3/8 and they were waiting to assign a number, but I need to change my beneficiary's mailing address quickly so I'm trying to get a hold of them (as it seems like Warsaw takes cases relatively quickly and may send a physical letter). Also - can we schedule medical now, or do we need to wait for the case number? I tried looking at the medical provider in Warsaw and it looks like I actually have to call them, which is a tad difficult.

Congrats! The guy I spoke to doesn't even know if it is "in the building", so that's that.

So as an update: I called back at 11:30 as suggested, and this time the previous message was gone and I got through to an agent immediately! Very nice, no case number yet but they're working on petitions received March 1 (at least as of today, so potentially later into the month tomorrow). To anyone interested in changing addresses, NVC can only do that over the phone once a case number is assigned; otherwise, just submit an inquiry at NVC.state.gov/inquiry and they'll plug it in as soon as the number is assigned. Feels wonderful to talk to cheery people on the phone! :)

Hey guys! Just an update, so I recieved an email today from NVC to let me know our case is in transit to London (took roughly a week since NVC created our case number) it's moving pretty quick. Now to see how quick I can book an interview date haha thats the real question!

Well done! I hope you'll be able to schedule an interview appointment asap! Let us know when you have any updates.

Our case is yet to be processed by the NVC as we're a month behind you all.

Thank you!! I registered in order to book an interview and when I entered all of my case details etc it had given me a message saying 'you are not yet ready to book an interview', I'm assuming because I literally tried as soon as I recieved the email from NVC haha

I'm going to try the DHL hack today and also see if I can schedule an interview :)

You guys aren't far behind, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if you get ahead of me! I really hope you hear something back, stay positive our adventure is only about to start :)
