When I sent a package to the UK late last year, it went reasonably direct.  Packages from the US to Canada, on the other hand, not so much.

Hopefully your parcels have arrived and in one piece after their extensive journey!

They did! Thanks.

And it was pretty impressive as they arrived in 3 days! We've had stuff sent from same county and it takes ages.

Typically, the less time in the hands of the USPS, the better.

Twice in the last few months we have sent packages to the UK which took an unexpected and long detour to Hong Kong. We're less than three hours drive from Chicago which has multiple direct flights to the UK every day! Can't work out if going the other way is crazy or crazily efficient 😁

I'm still amazed at how little our parcel took to arrive here.

It was with DHL, not sure if they're particularly efficient or if it was a matter of luck.

I may have to look into DHL next time. Much as I want to support USPS, they haven't covered themselves in glory. One parcel was carrying Christmas presents for my sister and arrived at least three weeks late. Fortunately she was very understanding 😄

One must always be understanding when it comes to USPS. Even relatives abroad. :P
