Hello everyone,

I'm a US citizen and had my lawyer submit an I-I130 for my parents (they're currently in Canada) earlier in 2021. I received confirmation by USCIS and assigned a case number in June 2021.

I'm not sure which service center I've been assigned to however:
- My first three letters in the case number is IOE,
- the bottom of my letter has a California Service Center address
- When I asked my lawyer, he says his letter says Nebraska

Is there a way to verify this without having to call USCIS directly? This is the same lawyer that helped get me citizenship without any issues so I don't believe he's lying to me, hence why I'm a bit confused/

I'm worried if the assigned service center is California as their processing times are currently 2-3 years vs. Nebraska's which is 4-7 months.

Thanks kindly!

There should be 2 case numbers as each parent is a separate case.  They could be at different service centers.

Both case numbers have the starting "IOE" letters on their respective case numbers and both of them have the "California Service Center" address on the bottom of their respective letters 🤷‍♂️

I would think if your lawyer says he recd a letter saying Nebraska is service center at least one case is transfered to there

lawyer should have sent u a copy and in the future copies of any letters pertaining to either of your cases
