My wife just got her 2 year green card! YAY!

When we applied for the card we checked the box to get a SSN number with the AOS.    One didn't arrive with the card and I don't see any reference to one coming in any of the documentation.

Do we go to the Social security office and follow up?   We don't want to accidently apply twice.

USCIS does not issue SS cards.  That comes from the Social Security Administration.

I guess the SS could get issued if we had ever gotten the EAD as that was the form the check box is on.

"14. Do you want the SSA to issue you a Social Security Card?
(You must also answer "Yes" to Item nubmer 15. Consent for Disclosure, to receive a card.)"

Since the EAD was never processed, only the AOS, we have to do go get the SS number ourselves.

Thank, I forgot which form the checkbox was on :).

Depending on when you filed, the check box is now on both I765 and I485.
