Hi,

I am a LPR and while waiting for my conditions to be removed I had to make a visit to a WA DMV to renew my driver licence.  I specifically recall being asked the question of voting and specifically remember telling the clerk that I was not a U.S citizen.  This was in May and in November I received a mailing ballot for the county where my address is registered.  The form says one needs to be a U.S citizen to vote and frankly I am pretty scared of the ramifications of this, unwanted form.  I have certainly not filled this in and had no intention of voting.  How on earth would/could one get this rectified??

Did u get a voter registration card in the mail to your address listed on DL?

you can call the local board of elections to find out and address any issues

And if u never tried to vote ,  no issues

if u did not fill out the the registration form ,  i don't see how u would be a registered voter

but many state elections board are working hard sending out letters trying to bring voter's to the polls and they just use DL licenses to send notices to all

my son gets notices and he is not registered in this state

USCIS posted a Policy Alert about this exact situation back in May of this year.  See:
