I went through Catholic Charities paying a lawyer to start the process of securing a K-1 Visa for my fiancée.  I waited over a year and was told my visa was approved and then I wired money to my Fiancé for her interview and medical exam.  After waiting a while.....3 years since I started....I check on the Embassy website to see the status of my application only to see that it has been cancelled and neither I nor my lawyer received notice of this action.  What can I do?

My understanding:

-Your lawyer submitted the I-129F in 2018

-The I-129F was approved in 2019

-In 2019 you sent money to your fiance for the DS-160 fee and medical fee.

-Just now, in 2021 you checked the embassy and discovered the petition or visa was cancelled.

If the above is correct, then:

1. Did you fill out the I-134 and all attachments (affidavit of support) and sent it to your fiance?

2. Did you send your fiance a fresh signed letter of intent to marry within 90 days to take to the interview?

3. Did your fiance schedule the medical and interview in 2019 after paying the DS-160?  If yes,

4. Did your fiance attend the medical and interview? If yes,

5. What was the result?  Did the embassy approve her visa?  If yes,

6. Did your fiance know that she only had 6 months (from the date of the medical) to enter the US?
