Dear members,

I need your assistance on form I-131 - Advance Parole

1.  Is I-131 Advance Parole a one time use only or can we use it for multiple trips while waiting for my wife's green card and AOS approval?

2.  Part 3, Question 1, Intended Departure.  We don't have any travel plan yet.  This I-131 is just in case we need it.  So, do I make up a intended departure date?  What happens if my intended travel date changes to a different date in the future?

3.  Part 3, Question 2, Expected length of Trip, in USCIS opinion, what is an acceptable trip length?  What happens if my trip length changes in the future?

4.  Part 4, Purpose of the trip.  Same question.  What happens if my purpose of the trip changes in the future?

5.  Part 5, my wife is applying for the AOS and green card so this line of questions in Part 5 does not apply to her.  Therefore I leave this section blank, right?

6.  Part 7, Question 1, what documents do you provide for USCIS to consider the Advance Parole?  Do you check one trip or multiple trips option?

Thank you for your help!

1) multiple entry

2) you can put a tentative date

3) length of trip can be anything. 1-365 days

4) purpose can be leisure, family, business etc

5) what is part 5?

6) multiple or one does not matter.  AP is mostly multiple entry through AOS

Thank you for the reply.  I don't think i need to answer part 5.  Part 5 is for DACA people and not for AOS case.

2-4 can be left blank as well. Those are for other groups who need very good travel reasons to be able to get AP approved.
