USPS sent the card back to USCIS

So we passed the interview but USPS failed to forward our mail (we moved) and they just sent my green card back as aboomerang to USCIS.

This happened in July. I immediately did the address change and e-request on USCIS website and kept waiting if they send the card back to my current address.

Nothing. No update on my case nothing. No way to talk to  a human. I did the e-request AGAIN today. My case status still says if they don’t receive update from me before October 30th they’ll destroy the card.

if they do, what can I do? Do I have to apply for a new one? I feel like I’m living in hell right now. This is such a nightmare and I can’t talk to a human on the phone who could tell me what the hell is going on.

Do I have to get a lawyer? Can they talk directly to USCIS ? What are my options here before they destroy my card and after?

USCIS explicitly forbids USPS from forwarding green cards.   It’s not their fault your address change happened late.

I recently called and had to say interview and it took me to an agent. I’d request for a tier 2 officer. Their wait time for a call back can be put to 30 days if they see it as not important. So I would try to get that in as soon as you can just in case. Good luck! I hope you can get it figured out.

USPS can't forward GC. Your GC will be destroyed and you have to file for a new one with an I-90.
