IV backlog - Rio de Janeiro

Hello everyone. 

I am trying to understand how far away from getting an interview date my case is at the moment. 

Does anyone here know what is going on right now at the US consulate in Rio? 

 

So far I have heard a few things:

 

1) family-based cases backlog is gone. They are now taking care of tiers 2 & 3 out of the backlog priority list. 

 

2)they are only taking care of students and au pairs at the moment. 

 

3) they are processing all kinds of visas at the same time. 

 

So what is going on there right now?

showing that RJ is 9.3 months behind right now,  that is an improvement, it was 10 months less than a month ago.

Hello there. 

Thanks for sharing it. However I don't believe those numbers are realistic... The website itself says those are assumptions based on regular routine. 

I already know that Rio compressed 6 months of CR1/IR1 visas within 1 month...
