No Extension Letter, Going to Lose Job

Is there something I could do if my husband never got his extension letter after filling I-751? It’s not lost in the mail we just haven’t gotten it yet. He got a great job offer and they are asking for the extension letter since his permanent resident card has expired. They said if he can’t prove his status then they will have to pass on him. He has a baby and now is worried since he left his previous job. Can we contact USCIS for assistance or basically not much he can do until he gets that letter?

Do you have an unrestricted SS card (NO annotation saying that is valid with DHS authorization only) ? You could do employment verification with a driver's license and unrestricted social security card!

If  you have those the employer can't dictate what proof you want to submit. And you still have to check that you are a resident alien

 

 

Second option would be to try to make an infopass appointment at your local office and get your passport stamped and then you can use the stamp as proof of status.
