My husband consulted a few lawyers for the same but they advised not to try it as you ll not be granted non immigrant visa.  Though the present government proposed it in its new bill but the bill has been rejected Eagle Act if you want to know more about it

There is no such thing.  Anyone who has shown immigrant intent via a petition is very unlikely to get a visitor visa, as consulate officers are required by law to reject such applicants.

Nothing prohibits anyone with $160 from applying.

Thank you. My husband was maybe misguided.

Hi guys,

So the last update wrt ILs received I see here is for DQ of June 21 2021.

My DQ date is 13 August 2021.

I added my newborn to the application and receive a DQ date of 10 Feb 2023 (See attached)

My worst fear - will I be receiving IL according to the new DQ date or the old one?

Thanks

I see the final action date on visa bulletin has been changed from 'Current' to 08SEP20. What does this imply?

as F2A is no longer current, only cases with PD earlier/prior to 8 Sept 2020 will be granted interview date.
Basically you will have to keep an eye on the visa bulletin as the interview dates will depend on your PD as well.

Any updates on ILs? Also, for bio-metric is it scheduled the same time when provided an interview date or will need to schedule it?

Quoted from website travel.state.gov:

Once you receive your appointment letter, you must register online at www.ustraveldocs.com, select your visa pick-up location, and schedule an appointment for your photograph and fingerprints to be taken at one of our Visa Application Centers in India.

IMPORTANT! Failure to schedule and complete your biometrics appointment at a Visa Application Center will result in the cancellation of your consulate visa interview.
