Hey,

we had our I-485 marriage interview about 4-5 months ago. Still haven’t heard anything. Is this normal?

at the interview she said she can’t make a decision yet and should hear something before 120 days. Well that time has passed..

this is so frustrating!!

Did you bring enough evidence of bona fide marriage to the interview?
if you adjusted from k-1, the interview is more of a formality or at least, it used to be.
i would reach out to your US Senator or congressperson and have them inquire on your behalf. Offer to send more evidence if thats whats needed.

I-751 Joint Filing.

06-15-2021 - Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken.

05-26-2021 - Received NOA/extension letter. Notice date and postmarked 05-20-2021.

05-23-2021 - Received text message with Receipt #. YSC Potomac Center.

05-21-2021 - Checks cashed (processing on joint checking account)

05-07-2021 - I-751 received in Arizona.

Marriage-based AOS - Concurrent filing.

05-07-2019 - AOS Approved. Resident since date 05/07/2019.

05-06-2019 - AOS Interview

04-23-2018 - "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"

03-16-2018 - Priority Date.

Thank you for your answer.

we did bring a lot of evidence and they didn’t askt anything more. If that was the case I would hope they would ask more and we will send.

How do you reach out to US senator or congressperson? Never heard of that.

You’re welcome!
you know theyre probably just behind with covid. Make sure to keep renewing your EAD and AP in a timely manner.
here’s the link to find your US senator. https://www.senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm Read the part that explains how to address a US senator. “To the honorable Senator etc”

you have  to go to their page and there is usually a link to request help communicating with USCIS.

And here’s the link to find your congress person. https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative

you would reach out to either a US senator or congress person. Not botb. they will shake the tree for you.

Hi there,

I remember reading your experience and I am sorry that you are still waiting. Just for our knowledge, was there any red flags on your case? When it takes this long, usually they need more information or they do not believe the marriage was bonafide etc. Also, is it outside processing time? I read on many cases that unless it is outside processing times, the senator or congressman/woman will just tell you it is normal processing time and will not do anything.

No red flags.
I think it is outside normal processing time since the interview was in Feb and they gave a letter saying if dont hear anything in 120 days call here..
