I am a Canadian citizen & I am engaged to an American citizen. I am 9 weeks pregnant & was wondering if that speeds up the process while applying for a K1 fiancee visa?

We plan on applying in the next week.

Sorry but that wouldn't happen other wise every woman of child bearing age and ability would be pregnant before the process began. I personnally don't know of any reason why a visa process would be expidited.

Congratulations on being pregnant, but no, I'm pretty sure that has no bearing on the speed of your application. Like Ron/Sharon says, if it could make the process go faster nearly everyone would be doing it.

im pretty sure you cant get through faster that way i just hope you have your baby before you to fill out paperwork for a k3 or w/e

No, and be extra careful about providing evidence of a bonafide relationship. The pregnancy won't speed things up but has the potential of drawing additional scrutiny. For instance your evidence of visits needs to correlate with conception etc.

I believe that the fastest way is to go through is to file with the Vermont Service Center and to have your interview at the Vancouver Consulate ... but of course that all depends on the location of the USC and your location .. good luck!

It won't speed it us, but congrats on your pregnancy. I hope it goes well for you. Try not to get too stressed or under too much duress as that can be problematic to the babe.

in fact im not to sure about babys and x rays.

That would be my only worry,and x ray can not be done while a women is pregant.So I am guessing the medical exam would then be done in the US maybe after the kid is born?

You might not even need the x ray due to you being pregnant and it cant be done.
