Hi there. Hubby and I made an appointment to speak to an immigration officer because it will be 180 days since filing the AOS package and we have not heard back about an appointment. Do you think we will get any answers or are they going to just tell us to wait?

Have you looked at the AOS processing dates for your local office? Are you way past due according to that date?

See now you sound like USCIS...lol...no they are no where near our date...okay this might sound flaky but I have been checking the Chicago office dates but our receipt says MSC...the reason I do that is because NBC doesn't have the I485 listed on their page...am I an idiot??

If the processing dates for your local office have not reached the date you filed then it is very unlikely that an infopass will do you any good...

Why do you think you should have had your interview by now????

I think you are just going to do as other have to and wait....

Yes, then go by their dates. The processing dates for AOS vary widely by local office. If their date is a long way off, then you are worrying prematurely.

The USCIS posted dates are only a very rough estimate. Every single application that both my daughter and I had (AOS/EAD/AP) were all approved long before the dates the USCIS said they were working on.

The processing dates don't mean a thing- that's my conclusion. The processing date for I485 for the Denver office says - as of today - June 22, 2005. We filed the I485 on October 28th (2005) and had our interview on February 17th (2006.) IT DOES NOT COMPUTE. But I do not know if the infopass will do you any good or not. If you have the time - it may be worth a shot, at least they may tell you that your processing is normal. Good Luck
