K1 VISA PROCESS FOR FIANCE IN SRILANKA

I am a U.S citizen and want to bring my bf here. He lives in Sri Lanka and I was wondering how long is the K1 process with the Sri Lanka consulate.

There are no guaranteed timelines especially now with the K1 processing backlog due to COVID delays.

It’s all dependent on whether or not the consulate in Sri Lanka is processing K-1 visas. For example, it took me 11 months to get my visa in hand but that’s all because the consulate is processing fiancé visas. You need to find someone who’s going through the process there to get a picture.  From what is says in UStraveldocs, they’re not currently processing K-1s:

They are processing spousal visas, you might want to think about doing that instead.

Sri Lanka Consular section is very good and They Don’t take too much time for process it.They do it quickly.
