I agree with you there, it was a fishing expedition fueled by hatred for Bush/Cheney, started by dems that could not accept the fact that they lost the election. In the end all they got was a process crime. The same thing they got Clinton on at his empeachment. The only difference is that Clinton weazled out of his.

Well again I don't think Clinton's lying under oath can be defended - but that the issue it pertained to was so sordid that it demeaned the people who were prosecuting it.

Cheney (as the power behind Bush) seems to me to be extraordinarily corrupt. Would be doing the country a favour I think if he were indicted on some of his dirty dealings.

I think you're reading into this that I'm defending Clinton - I'm not. I just don't see an affair as worth the time or effort people that spend on condemning him for it. Its not unlike those celebrity news hacks who keep reminding everyone that Britney Spears went in a car without underwear once. IMO its demeaning to the people who focus on it - and as you say its not like there aren't other, more relevant issues that pertain to his performance in and out of govt.
