3 year rule question

We've been married since 10/12/2019, we filed and our AOS was accepted and ready to be scheduled for an interview on 2/7/2020 but we haven't received an interview date yet. My question is simple but I can't find the answer. Does the 3 year clock to file N400 for naturalization start from the day we were married? The day her AOS was ready to be scheduled for interview? Or does it not start until she receives her Permanent Resident Card? I'm hoping it starts from our marriage date since the wait time for an interview can be as long as 35 months and if it takes more than 2 years to get her Permanent Resident Card they skip the conditional 2 year card and just send the 10 year card.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks in

"Permanent resident for at least 3 years if you are married to a US citizen".

Marriage it self don't give anyone the right to receive citizenship. Because she is married with an US CITIZEN she can filled 3 years after she became a resident (green card).

You will never skip the ROC, this is the condition for the 2 years green card. One step at the time.

Imigration is a looong journey and in the process you will never skip things 😄

Good luck

I agree with the others, the 3 year (or 5 year) clock starts when the LPR status is approved.  As to getting a 2 yr or 10 yr GC, that depends also on when the AOS is approved, if after your two year wedding anniversary, then your spouse should get a 10 yr GC.

Good Luck!
