What did you include as evidence of a bona fide marriage?

I am especially worried since ours was an arranged marriage which happened quite quickly, and I only spent about two weeks with him! We have no shared assets, leases, children, or anything of that sort. All we have is a few pictures and Whatsapp chats and calls. Unfortunately the person who helped us cater the wedding lost the receipts. We have nothing to show besides those few pictures and chats!  

 

What did you guys submit for proof of a bona fide marriage? 

 

And if you have any advice for me, that would be appreciated too!

Add him as authorized user to your bank account and credit card. Add him as emergency contact at work, beneficiary of your life insurance if you have one. A will and a POA from both of you for each other. This is what they want to see for co-mingling of your life's. Receipts from a wedding don't show that so don't worry about them.

A few ideas:

 

1. Tons of pictures

2. Affidavits from people who attended the wedding

3. Money transfer receipts (we did not have a joint bank account).  If you can make a joint bank account, that would be even better. 

4. Passport entry and exit stamps
