  1. Can you also DM me the link for the whatsapp group?
  2. Thanks but if they are taking 1.5 months per month, then wouldn't they reach December 2022 in April of 2024 rather than July?
  3. Our DQ date is also December 2022! I have been following DQ dates and corresponding IL dates (mostly from the Pak USA Immigration FB page), and it seems to me that they are covering about two months' worth of cases every month. If they keep up at this pace, then they should arrive at December 2022 in about 7 months worth of time? Someone correct me if my math is wrong. Right now they are at October 2021 DQ, giving interview in August. But at the same time, that doesn't really make sense, because I checked the statistics from the official DoS website of how many IR1/CR1 visa issuances there have been every month since the past two years for Islamabad, and they have consistently been between 50-400, averaging about 150 per month, with no speed up in recent months. So this makes me very puzzled. If they have been going at this pace for a long time, which it seems they have been, then it's unusual to have a 24 month waiting period after DQ. Anyone with any insight please chip in!
  4. Anyone get interview letter? Please update us!
  5. I'm having the exact same issue! And my NVC submission date is also November 11! I got two emails at once, one saying status change and the other saying DQ. But in the CEAC portal, everything shows as the same, no status change, no new messages, and documents still show as "submitted." Please keep me updated about your situation!
  6. Thank you so much for explaining, Nastra! As I only recently submitted the NVC documents and haven't been DQed yet, I am guessing the first scenario would apply to me if my expedite request gets approved inshaAllah. Thanks much 😊
  7. Oh thank you! And then if NVC DQs you, when your case is moved to the embassy, is it automatically expedited there too? Or do you have to apply separately for an expedite there?
  8. I applied for an expedite through email. A day later, I got this email back from them: Dear Sir/Madam: The National Visa Center (NVC) will send your request for expedited processing to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Please note: Although only the U.S. Embassy or Consulate can approve or deny expedite requests, NVC will send you the result of your request when completed. You do not need to contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. However, if you do not receive a response from NVC within 30 days, please follow up by email to nvcexpedite@state.gov. Is this an automated email, or did they review my expedite request and deem it valid enough to be forwarded to the embassy for consideration? Thank you!
  9. When you apply for an expedite, does it expedite the NVC processing of your documents, or does it expedite the wait time for an interview at the consular level? I applied for an expedite, and they sent back an email that they forwarded my request to the embassy and to contact them if I don't hear back within 30 days. Can someone please shed some light on this process? Thank you.
  10. Maybe you can email the embassy that your husband's case is at? And email the new embassy that it should be moved to, asking them to request a change from the old embassy?
  11. Thank you so much for your reply. Unfortunately, it seems I misplaced the mail from my bank Or maybe I left it all in the US. Would the three items you listed suffice, do you think?
  12. I spent the past ten months in the US, and I just came to my beneficiary's country (Pakistan). But I didn't hold down a job in the US, so I feel like that makes proving US domicile a bit trickier. Here are some things I'm considering using: doctor's visits write ups medical bills mailed to my US address my baby's delivery in the US voting registration (but I never received the voter registration card in the mail, so I'm not sure how I would prove that) mail from my US bank account driver's license permit my American cell phone number? Thoughts? Please let me know your input. Thank you!
  13. I go back and forth between the US and my beneficiary's country. However, my primary domicile is in the US and that's what I listed as my current address. Do I need to provide the NVC with proof of US domicile?
  14. Hahaha about coffee But your point actually reiterates mine. "In Care of" suggests I can receive mail on my husband's behalf.
  15. That's very good advice from all of you. Thank you. The only thing I'd like to point out is that "mailing address" is by definition a question of choice. There can't be an untruthful answer to it as long as the recipient of the mail is in agreement that that's where he wants his mail to be delivered. For instance, even though my beneficiary is outside the US, he can put his mailing address as his wife's US based address if that's where he prefers his mail be delivered (and it's possible for me to take care of his mail from this address). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that's dishonest. I do agree it might lead to some unnecessary confusion, so I'll just put his residential address. Appreciate all y'all's input. Thanks!
  16. I paid the NVC IV and AOS fees five days ago. The money has also been withdrawn from my bank account. However, it's still showing as "In Process." I'm checking every day. Do you guys know how long it might take? How long did it take for your portal to show "Paid" after paying? Thank you so much.
  17. Hello, I had the same question. Did you figure out what the answer was? Or did you put something down and get approved? Thank you!
  18. I am the petitioner. For the immigrant info in Part 2, is it okay if I put my US address? It feels weird putting a foreign address (where mail always gets lost and stolen) for his mailing address...
  19. After you received the NO2, that is. From this site, it seems like a huge range, so I'm really curious how long it took all of you. Thanks!
  20. My I130 recently got approved and I haven't heard from the NVC yet, so I'm very new to the process. But all these years I thought we had to mail original documents to the NVC. Is that no longer the case?? Do we now just have to electronically upload everything? If so, that is such a relief! Can someone kindly answer some questions for me? 1 - Are the fees paid by the beneficiary or petitioner? 2 - Are the NVC documents (civil documents, DS260, etc) submitted to NVC by beneficiary or petitioner? Thank you!
  21. Guys! User @Kuchiki pointed us to this official government update from three days ago: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/update-on-worldwide-visa-operations.html ...which, in the last paragraph, says: For Those Navigating Long Interview Wait Times Our goal is to provide a visa interview for every applicant who requires one, worldwide, in a reasonable timeframe. Although our processing capacity is rebounding faster than projected, we know that visa applicants still face lengthy wait times at some embassies and consulates. We urge any visa applicant who can travel to another embassy or consulate with shorter wait times to consider doing so. There is no penalty for applying anywhere appointments are available, even outside your home country. For the latest information about wait times, see https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas.html. Can this be real?? We can now just schedule an interview at any embassy around the world?? Please help me understand!!!
  22. Omg!! Does that mean we're no longer confined to our embassy????? @Kuchiki
  23. Alhamdu lillah, all praise to Allah, my case was approved yesterday. Vermont service center, filed on November 7, 2021. I pray and hope for all of you to get approved very very soon. Hang in there, the day will come! And the longer you wait, the sweeter such a day will be... And I hope the whole system gets an overhaul soon, it is simply atrocious how long wait times are. It's inhumane. Now my beneficiary's embassy is taking 15-17 months to just schedule an interview, so onto the next wait... Good luck to all of you. ❤️
