status updated today (June 9th) since we sent off the remedical on May 19th. Still refused. No instructions on sending the passport back yet or anything else.

I must also add that we have filed a WOM which has given the date of July 2nd to the embassy to make a decision. With the speed of things right now, I have a feeling they will end up asking for an extension.

They didn’t ask for passport or pictures? What about updated ds 260

They've only requested updated ds-260, passport pics, and re-medical. All which is sent as of may 19th.

They have not requested my father in law to send back his passport yet.

Don’t worry... they will ask soon once they are done with administrative processing.

What I gather from this is that they are heavily backlogged and no more asking for passport submissions.

Our passport was received on March 24th.

Case Updated several times but refused. Enquiries are returned with automated replies that case is under processing.

Only Allah knows their processing system.

More than two months and waiting.

Patience and a lot of it!

We emailed the embassy and they responded today that they havent received our documents. Isnt the medical delivered electronically now? And the DS-260 was updated online. We couriered a print out of the ds-260 along with passport pictures since our Ceac doesnt have the online documentation upload option (case created 2017).

Which documents they didn’t receive medical or other documents too. Today after 1 month they told me they never got my documents.

I received following to email enquiry...

Updated to Jun 3rd still refused.

Dear Applicant,

Our records mention that your submitted email was reviewed and forwarded to concerned section for further processing of the case.

Please be prepared to experience significant delays in visa issuance.  As of March 17, 2020, the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad suspended routine visa services due to COVID-19 concerns and severely reduced staffing.  We will resume routine services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time.  If you do not hear anything from our office within a month of this response, please send us a follow up inquiry.

What question you asked them in an inquiry on which they emailed you this response because I got the same response on asking did you receive my documents.

I just asked to expedite our case, no particular question options are on their enquiry portal.

Automated replies mostly but they do ask if there are missing documents. Which is weird as why they find out missing documents only once an enquiry is made. Happened to me once and I see another member experiencing same.

I have filed writ of mandamus. Mailed them the original documents. When US attorney asked them why I have been not given visa then the embassy said they never received my documents mailed one month  ago. I asked the courier service they said it was delivered.

They did. After that they asked for more documents.
