Hi,

I am the beneficiary and I know that I need to get a police certificate but does my fiance (The petitioner) need to get one too to send with me once we have received the NOA2?

November 16th 2007 - NOA2 - 156 days from filing

December 15th 2007 - Packet 3 received

January 18th 2008 - Packet 3 returned

February 13th 2008 - Packet 4 received

March 4th 2008 - Medical @ 1.00pm

March 5th 2008 - INTERVIEW @ 10.00am - APPROVED!!

March 11th 2008 - Visa received!

April 30th 2008 - Flying home at last!!!!! (POE: Dulles - Washington DC)

July 12th 2008 - Wedding date!

No. The fact that the petition was approved by USCIS and forwarded by NVC, takes care of any background check on the petitioner. If they decide to do more, they'll just do it.

hi

its written in my embassy letter is that only applicants need to get a police record from the authorites . no petitioner's is asked. u have to get a record from places where you have resided 12 months or more. hope that helps cos i m getting one and not my fiance (petioner) now during this process

are you sure they only want police certificates of countries you've been living in more than 12 months?

ive been living in england 9 months for my studies and ive been aondering about that

Well, I was told that you had to have one for every place you have lived in the last 10 years.. So that's what I did!
