Am I eligible for the third stimulus?

Yes, assuming there aren't any significant changes to the proposed law from now until congressional passage and subsequent signing by the President.

Did you already file taxes? If not, you now qualify for the first two stimulus (*see Line 30 below) because you now have SSN. You are a resident alien for tax purposes because of the Substantial Presence test: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/substantial-presence-test After filing taxes with your SSN, the IRS will send you third stimulus separately using the info from your tax filing.

*Line 30 "Recovery rebate credit. See instructions."

Since your husband is filing jointly that is where you'll claim your Recovery Rebate credit of up to $1800 ($3600 if your husband also didn't get his stimulus).

I had some self-employment income since I arrived US in late 2020. My husband and I will file tax MFJ and our accountant would claim the rebate credit for me in the tax return.

My question is will I get the 2021 stimulus payment that just got out? My husband received it today. Is there anywhere I can register my bank account info with IRS for this? Or should I wait until 2021 tax return filing?
