Hello everyone,

I have just received a letter with my visa interview scheduled.

I submitted some my original documents. (Specifically my ACRO police report from United Kingdom and Canada) with my I-485 adjustment of status packet. I have photo copies of these documents.

will this be alright?

1. You made a mistake by sending originals to the USCIS. They specifically say to send photocopies.

2. If you mean you sent police certificates, that's not a requirement of AOS, like it was for K1. If you committed any crime, you should've sent specific police reports or court records.

3. Since it was not a requirement, I doubt the IO will even talk about this.

If they ask for originals, then photocopies are not alright. BUT your originals are in your file so they will have them. Typically photocopies are sent with the application and the originals are shown at the interview.
