Hey @0NI ! Thanks for the update. I was wondering how you were doing and if your travel pushed through.

Glad to know your first flight went smoothly and it seems that PH exit immigration didn't give you a hard time. Have a nice time with your fiancée!

Good day VJ.

Yesterday I left Manila to CA, USA to visit my Fiancee on a tourist visa. Our K1/K2 petition is approved but it is still stuck at NVC

We decided that I am gonna visit my Fiancee since it's hard for foreigners to visit the PH right now.

Here is my experience:

Flight is Korean Air with a 12 hours layover at Incheon (I got free tickets cause of Mileage Accural :D )

Manila:

@Check in counter Koreanair

Documents asked were Passport, travel tax receipt, flight itinerary, RTPCR negative test results (Red Cross) and travel insurance (Trawick). Check-in was smooth, they only asked me to fill-up Declaration form and a Travel attestment form (one for the airline and another you'll give to the Immigration Officer). Also they had me signed the LAX travel form online.

@Immigration Counter MNL

Nothing was asked by the Immigration Officer, it was quite smooth actually. The IO just asked for my Passport, boarding pass, return booking itinerary and travel insurance and that was it.

Now I am at Incheon Airport waiting for my Transfer. It's surprising how empty this place is right now. Will update you guys once I get to LAX. :)

Thanks for the recap!  Funny you posted this now as in another thread I was reminiscing about when my fiancé , now wife, visited me in 2012.  She already held a B1/B2 visa from work, and I am guessing you do too.

Thanks. I was busy the last few daays before my flight, try getting your RTPCR done at REDCROSS. It only took 6 hours for them to release the results.

UPDATE:

I'm here now at LA.

The only thing the CBP officer asked me was my purpose in going to the USA. I answered "to visit my Fiancee".

After that I was done.

I was even expecting them to look for the RTPCR results and Travel insurance. I even brought our NOA2 if ever they look for it as I told them Im visiting my Fiancee but no documents was asked from me.

Also I was execting the CBP to brief me on the 10 days self quarantine. But they didn't even mention it. I guess Covid is not as big in the PH as it is here.

HTH  for those who want to visit their Fiance/Fiancee.

:)

It also depends on the state here. In Hawaii they are still very strict when it comes to incoming travelers while in Florida they have zero lock downs and everything is open.
