Hi friends,

I am changing my status from F-1 to a permanent resident. My I-485 status has been showing "Ready to be scheduled for an interview" since August 2020. I wonder if this is normal. How many months did you wait for an interview if you filed in 2020?

Please let me know! I really appreciate it.

Wait times for AOS interviews are entirely location-dependent.  The times are posted on the USCIS website.

In 2018/2019, we waited 14 months for my husband's interview.  He has had his GC for a year now.

Very normal during the pandemic.   Waits can be 3 to 30 months depending on the office.

YMMV

Best info comes from looking at timelines of people from the same application support center (ASC)/city! You can see when people got their biometrics and the wait time for receiving their interview. Good luck.

Your renewal card was quick to approved. I just sent my renewal document last week and my card will expired on June 2021. Do you think I have enough time?

If they give you an IOE case, they will approve you within the first three months, so I think you’re fine.

BTW: today I got the notification, my Interview was Scheduled

Congrats! Have you received your notice yet? My status just changed to "interview was scheduled" yesterday. I'm wondering how long it's gonna take to arrive?
