What's WOF??

(... and there's been a couple of even speedier approvals than that, this week...!)

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

That's someone else's very fast approval the OP is talking about, not theirs... (but yeah, timelines are good, I agree!) ;)

And Beckypua... thanks for explaining what WOF means, I'd have been driving myself crazy trying to work that one out all weekend otherwise! :)

No problema! It's mainly for Filipino immigrants. Took over when the old Asawa site went belly up!

lol, okay I fell short with that one! I don't know much about CRs and IRs (yet).. but do you think it depends solely on the eligibility to adjust status? I may have yet to find a case where it depends solely on the visa classification or one factor, there are just too many a factor (sometimes external) to affect the timeframe of the approval. For me, speedy or not, just as long you get approved without the roller-coaster ride of emotions (like getting approved easily but receiving a GC with errors) is fine. So I can get rid of those USCIS worries and be 100% husband -preoccupied. :)

Timeline

Mine was a AOS with no K1 (I overstayed a 6 month visa that expired 2000) on a marriage to USC.

I think ours took just under 3 months (luckily I don't have to wait to get my SS card as I got the much sought after stamp in my passport - they even stamped the kids expired passports).

04/02/2007 - Mailed I-485 & I-130 for myself and 2 daughters

04/04/2007 - Package arrived in Chicago

04/10/2007 - Package received at MSC

04/16/2007 - NOA received for myself and 1 daughter

04/18/2007 - NOA received for other daughter (delayed by incorrect address).

04/27/2007 - Biometrics scheduled - arrived 2 hours early due to overcautious husband, let us go in early and were all done 15 minutes later.

04/30/2007 - All touched.

06/21/2007 - All touched.

06/28/2007 - Initial interview scheduled for all.

06/28/2007 - All approved with stamp.

07/02/2007 - Received Welcome letters.

07/03/2007 - Received card production email.
