Interview in March 1st week for AOS (Marriage). Got an online status update today stating I-130 was approved. Couple of questions

1) What does this mean when there is still an interview pending and then awaiting approval after that?.

2) How does this effect interview ?

3) Does this i-130 approval make interview easy to approve for officer ?

4) Is this normal in adjustment of status application ?

Normal. Now they just need to approve AOS which will be after your interview.

Thanks But I am still having hard time understanding how can I-130 be approved without the interview?. Isn't it the ultimate GC application (Petition of alien Relative) ?

No, in the AOS case I-485 determines if you get the green card/permanent residence. That’s why you have an interview for AOS and not for I-130.

I-130 doesn't need an interview. It's called the underlying petition. The one that says if you get a GC or not is the AOS Interview.

That's totally normal. I-130 approval means all your documents check out correctly. Now, I-485 needs to be approved which depends on the interview.
