Hey, so I'm super happy that we already have our green card interview, sooner than we expected. I am just slightly worried about what evidence to bring, specifically for the evidence of relationship, we currently live with my SO's mother so don't pay any bills, we also have no joint bills or insurance or anything. I was thinking of adding him as an authorized user to my bank, and me the same to his. I was also thinking of doing this with the credit card I recently got. We also were going to get a letter from my husband's mother, who we live with just stating we live there rent free etc. We were also thinking about getting me a driver's permit, so it would show the same address as on his permit, showing we reside together? Apart from that, other evidence we have are pictures of our wedding and pictures together since I have been here (I moved in March and we adjusted status in April), I have one hotel itinerary from the one trip we took this year. I also have a whole book of our whole relationship before we were married of pictures, receipts, cards etc. Is there anything else I would need, and do all these things provide good enough evidence?

Also I accidentally didn't change my name on the paperwork when filing because I didn't know it could be changed there, so my EAD is in my maiden name. People on here previously suggested I could request to change it at the green card interview, is this a good time and will they allow me to do this or is there anything I need to do before/ after? I will obviously be bringing our marriage license etc, I'm not sure if I will need anything else for the name change.

I hope this all makes sense. Thanks in advance for your help!

Just use your logic—- What can I show the officer that a fake greencard marriage probably wouldn’t have?

Joint accounts, same address, testimony from Mom, photos with friends and family. And of course your marriage certificate (not license) that shows it was registered in you county records or the records of wherever you married. You’ve got this.

What about healthcare, telephone plans, power of attorney for each other, wills, car titles or car insurance in both your names? Just to give you some more ideas 😊

Pictures during special occasions: birthday, valentines, christmas, easter, etc.  Cards from those holidays and birthdays could also be used.  The more the merrier.  Bury the interviewer with pictures LOL.  Head to your local CVS or whatever and develop your pictures form your phone (it's surprisingly cheap).  Then go through them and date it and put a short description on the back.  It could be a fun activity for the both of you.
