I received DQ email in Oct 2020 and I know that due to the pandemic the embassies are delaying an appointment for an interview.  What is your country .?  I would call because it is 7 months

This is the the sequence of actions for interviews.  You are step 2

1.  Your case is DQ'd at NVC.

2.  Your case enters the interview queue for that consulate.

3.  Your consulate informs NVC of available interview dates.

4.  NVC schedules your interview (assigns your case a date) when your case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate.

5.  NVC sends your case to your consulate.

The pandemic has caused a backlog at NVC for most consulates.

I understand the procedure, i just wanted to know if the queue is shortened or not. Thank you so much for the information though.

Cuz I’ve been tracking the case since the last 3 months. The letters might be out tomorrow (15th) or on Tuesday (19th) if not— then I don’t know when they’ll be out. Good luck! I’m tracking all the dates of CR1/IR1 May DQ dates and their interview dates so let me know so I can give all of you a list of the interviews scheduled next month! Inshallah :)
