Our case entered the NVC on 1/18/07 and was in AR for months. I JUST found out this morning that the NVC FINALLY forwarded our case to the embassy in Guangzhou. It could take awhile; seems like a lot of folks have gotten stuck at the NVC.

My case took 3 weeks to go from CSC to NVC. It arrived at NVC on 6/20. One of the operators there told me our case was in AR, but no one else will confirm that. I have been calling every day and that seems to annoy them! I keep getting the statement that it will take at least 4 weeks to process.

Jim_Mila,

Have you tried calling DOS?

( 1 202 663 1225, press 1 then 0 )

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I called the DOS as you suggested. THe guy I talked to told me I was not in AP but going thru normal processing??? But earlier in the week at NVC they told me I was going through AP.

I guess I will continue to call every day until it gets sent to the embassy.

Jim_Mila,

I believe DOS has a bit more info on their screen than NVC does.

humm I´m experiencing a long delay in my process... it has been approved on may 18 but no sign of it at the NVC yet (at least thats what they tell me)

I´ll try calling DOS tomorrow (they´re already closed today), and i hope to get some answers...

I called uscis but its just the same over and over... the most recent info they got on my case is the approval date...

40 days waiting...

Today I received a letter form the NVC.

Dear Petitioner: The State Department's National Visa Center has recently received an approved I-129F petition filed on behalf of your fianceé. This letter is to let you know that within a week the petition will be forwarded to the appropriate visa-issuing post where your visa interview will take place.

Then is lists my fianceé’s name and location for the interview. And is says my fianceé will receive a packet with instructions from the consular section on how to apply for a K1 visa at that post and what documents will be required.

Since they received my petition June 20, doesn't that mean it should have gone out by now????

Maybe it will go out tomorrow?

I hope so!

Jim_Mila,

It is stationed at NVC . It has not moved from that location since the last 39 days.

Whenever you call NVC or DOS, it would be a good idea to keep a log of the day and time that you made your call.

Burnspot, since you went into A/R a week ahead of us, nothing would make me happier than to come out a week behind you or next week. We are now over 5 months with no end in sight. It really sucks. The only bright spot is that we are spending our summer together in the Caribbean but it sure would be much better to be at home together getting on with our lives.

12/14/2006 Applied for K-1 with request for Waver for Multiple filings within 2 years.

Add me to this list of waiting for administrative review. Wouldn't it be just wonderful if they'd tell you why? It's your petition after all.

When I've asked them how long this process is the only answer I get is until it's done.

I have a question concerning expiration of the NOA2 approval. What happens if it expires before an interview at the embassy?
