Hello everyone,

I recently have had a family death where the husband of my sister has passed away. She has two children (10, 12) and is pregnant with a third and should be giving birth within two months. The wake and funeral is being held this upcoming Thursday and Friday. We would like my wife to attend but also after help my sister tend to her children and newborn as she grieves. She is not currently working and I plan on helping as much as I can financially where I can. My wife being here would be able to ease a lot of hardship on my sister and myself as we both can work to earn money and assist with my sister's needs as well. My question is that does this seem something that the embassy in the Dominican Republic consider approving or does this not meet the need for urgent humanitarian reasons? My wife and step daughter are just waiting for the embassy appointment for IR1, IR2 visas and were denied a few months ago for an expedite for my wife as we wanted to get here for an employment to take care of my mother as a PCA as my mother has numerous illnesses and would need help due to covid. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

From my end, I see a denial

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.
