Hello everyone, I have a concern and in need of advice or guidance. My fiancée and I applied for the K1 visa process on September of 2019 through our local immigration lawyer. It was approved by the USCIS and the national visa center. NVC then sent our files to the Casablanca US Consulate on March 5th. As time passed, my fiancée and I prepared documents needed for the interview including the affidavit support and the DS-160. We were told by our lawyer and the US consulate that it usually takes around 6 to 7 months due to the backload created by COVID-19. All we’re waiting for is an email regarding when and how to schedule an interview. 7 months have currently passed from when the NVC sent over our files to Casablanca. I understand that the delay was caused by coronavirus because the K1 should not take this long to process but we should have at least received something regarding the interview. We are confused and tired of sending emails to the consulate and not receiving any information. We’re not sure what we should do next, I hope someone informs us about the situation. Thank you.

Hello.

I believe the US Embassy in Morocco has not resumed processing K1 visas.  Here's what they have posted:

Unfortunately, you will need to wait until they start processing K1 visas again.   Because your case is already at the consulate, it should be one of the first ones to get processed when they resume that category.

Casa did approve 17 in August and 8 in September / more than likely these were ones that had already had late 2019 and early 2020 interviews and have been in AP for the extra security checks

Casa also approved more than 64 tourist visas in August and 76 in September ''

They resumed new CR1 interviews in October

if you check the following site ,  you will see the majority of interviews up to October were for the dv lottery winners as they had to be completed by end of September

it is very important to know that when you deal with an embassy,  you need to know about all the visa categories and what is going on there

NIV in this site is nonimmigrant

and IV is immigrant

you can look up all by visa type and embassy
