I filed for AOS back in February and still waiting to be rescheduled for biometrics in Houston. I’ve called USCIS multiple times. Every time they tell me something different. It’s either that I’ve gotten reschuled for my appointment and the mail is on its way, or the mail got sent back to them, or an office should call me back within 48h but never calls. I’ve heard a getting a lawyer might accelerate your case?! Does anyone have experience with this?

I’ve gotten this far with no immigration lawyer, should I really consider one now?

A lawyer can't help you anything except calling USCIS for you.

Hello,

Unfortunately, AOS has been taking a really long time in recent years.  Have you filed for EAD and/or AP?

I do not believe an immigration lawyer could speed up anything.

Hello, thank you for your reply.

I did. I filed AOS, EAD and PA as one package.
The estimated time range on USCIS website for EAD (I-765) at Texas Service Center is 2-5 month and I’m on 8 month now.

They also received my request for expedited processing on form I-765,  in September..

EAD/AP based on pending I-485 is processed at National Benefits Center (NBC) not TSC. Either way, both the I-765 and I-131 are outside of processing times. You should submit an online inquiry: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt
