Hi there can anyone please help me with what's going on with my case I had interview on 8 th October 2020 and visa officer said my visa is approved and I will receive my passport in 3 to 5 business days however I checked my ceac status it shows visa refused I am confused what's going with my case please help me did anyone had this problem if so then how many days it took for embassy to return passport with visa stamp

The true indication of visa approval is when your CEAC status turns to "ISSUED".  It's common here on VJ to read about visa applicants reporting "verbal approval" at the interview, yet they had to wait weeks or months due to administrative processing before getting their visa.  Nothing for you to do now but wait.

Ok thank you. Would you mind sharing on what circumstance were you able to get your case expedited? If you can share with me that would be good. If not I understand

Also if you did your expedite case with the help

of an attorney and if you are able to share me their contact info that would be great. Thank you for all your help

I did expedite my case because my wife is pregnant and she is having high risk pregnancy and I attached all doctors report and requested for expedite and it was approved I did not go through attorney did it by myself

Thanks mate best of luck for your interview hope you have IL soon as I have seen US embassy started working on routine CR1/ IR1 visas

My husband was in administrative processing and we got ds5535 our case was refused on ceac and 2 days ago got a call from embassy asking which documents we submitted when we sent second medical and passport and if there were any originals documents at the embassy and that they are passing my spouses things to the consular officer our case then changed to administrative processing
