Hello all!

My wife and I are all ready to send out the K1 AOS packet, after painstakingly putting this together - and checking and rechecking everything. I used the visajourney guide (find it at the end of this post) since VJ never steers me wrong.

Here is my table of contexts, located on the cover page:

  1. Payment for I-485
  2. Cover Page (this page)
  3. Form I-485
  4. Form I-944
  5. Declaration of Self-Sufficiency Explanation
  6. Credit Inquiry
  7. US Citizen Spouse’s credit scores
  8. Evidence of Health Insurance
  9. Applicant’s HS Diploma (with certified translation from Spanish)
  10. Applicant’s college transcript (Issued in English from top Ecuadorian university)
  11. Applicant’s passport (all pages, including K1 visa)
  12. Copy of NOA2
  13. I-94
  14. Applicant’s Birth Certificate (with certified translation from Spanish)
  15. Marriage Certificate
  16. Six (6) passport style photos (for forms I-485, I-764, and I-131)
  17. Vaccination Explanation Letter
  18. Form I-693 (sealed, from civil surgeon)
  19. Form I-864
  20. US Citizen Spouse’s Birth Certificate
  21. US Citizen Spouse’s 2019 tax return
  22. US Citizen Spouse’s Pay Stubs
  23. US Citizen Spouse’s Employment Verification Letter
  24. Social Security Card Explanation
  25. Form I-765
  26. Form I-131

That's the order, based directly on that guide, and almost all sections have a title sheet that says the name you see above (unless it's a letter/explanation, no need to have a title sheet for a letter).

Then I kept seeing posts that we should treat this as THREE different applications, and have almost 3 separate packets, even thought they are sent together. I thought this sounded like overkill, and it's different than what I see in this VJ guide...but I wanted to ask you guys. Should I re-organize things tonight before sending? Or will they sort it out?

These are 3 separate applications, so you do need to send evidence for each form separately. 6 passport photos total, 3 i-94... 3 copies of everything pretty much.

You will get RFE if you don't send them.

Follow the guides on the first page of the Sep 2020 thread.

You organize each form with their evidence, and use a paper clip for each set.

Wow. OK I will get on that right now.

I assume the i693 is because you didn't complete your vaccinations before you entered?

I wouldn't send what it's not required. Where did you see you needed to send a SSN explanation letter?

She had a social when she lived here in 2008 but forgot it and it's impossible to learn it right now. I thought it was odd to check that you don't want to be issued a SSN in the I-765. Maybe not?

The other letter explains how she couldn't get a credit score... which also tells the SSN situation. I've heard others do the same.

I didn't check that I wanted a SSN to be issued. That's not USCIS business. They just do us a favor by sending the application to the SSA if we would like to.

So she has a SSN but doesn't remember the number? Her SSN is for life, so she can just request a new card from the SS office. She will probably have to mail her passport or other ID with the SS-5 form. That's how they're doing now with covid.
