Hello everyone!

I currently working full time in the US on a G4 visa. My husband is a US citizen. We started dating about 2 years ago and got married right in the middle of this whole situation back in March 2020.

Thanks to some assistance from this forum, we've started preparing all the forms. So far, my husband has filed the I130 online earlier this week.

We have some questions:

(1) My understanding is that we'll need I485, I864, I131, and I765. Due to my G4 status, I'll also need I508 and I566. Am I missing anything?

(2) Relating to Q1, is the I944 required? I see a lot of conflicting information about it online.

(3) Also relating to Q1, my husband said he cannot find his USCIS online account number. I read online that it comes to us via mail. Is this correct? Is there a faster way to see it online? And if not, does this matter for other forms where they ask for his USCIS online account number?

(4) I heard that we're supposed to get an I797C from the I130 filed online. How long does that typically take? Can we send out the above forms without the I797C?

(5) How many passport pics do we need? 2 overall? Or 2 per form? Which forms?

(6) The part of my application that I can't seem to figure out at this point is with Q3a on I566. I'm assuming I should be selecting "Adjustment of Status from A, G, or NATO nonimmigrant to immigrant." Would that be correct?

Thanks so much in advance!!

Sorry!

I have 2 other points of confusion.

(7) Question about form I485, Part 2, Q12. Is this referring to the receipt we got from filing the I130 (starts with "IOE" followed by some numbers)? I don't see any priority date when we log in to USCIS. Or is this receipt refering to I797C?

(8) Question about I485, Part 1, Q22a, 23c, and 24. Can I handwrite "G4" in these boxes (2 of the 3 won't allow me to type numbers)? I'm not sure what else the form is asking for.

Hi jrich4488,

How is your journey in that process? I have to initiate the same case and I am curious about how are you doing? I have the same doubts and I am asking myself the same questions.

Do you have some kind of "instructions" or advise?

Were all the forms you indicated finally necessary for G-4 Visa? We are not technically diplomats.

I-130a and i-693, which you can submit now or wait until you get RFE.
