05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Talk about blatant voter fraud.  Ballot harvesting is simply wrong regardless of who is doing it.  I applaud her for her efforts and hopefully this bill does go somewhere.

Sane Democrats are likely not Democrats anymore. I seriously wonder when people will realize party membership is simply dumb, pointless, and entirely a benefit to the party brass, at the cost of their own individual vote. 

 

So despite thinking Tulsi is good looking and carries plenty of good ideas I find agreeable, what consumes my thoughts on her is largely why she continues to stay with a party that works so hard (with their media buddies doing significant legwork on their behalf) to villainize her and squash any efforts to ascend individually? She isn't noticeably transforming her party at all, never mind the way Trump is transforming the GOP, so, what's the point? I don't think she's as "sane" as people think until she shows me her independence is more than a marketing gimmick. Nonetheless, she has been on my radar for a while, as I wait.

This has mystified me, too, except that there is no other party but "D" in Hawaii.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Pres. Trump offer her some appointed position during his second term.
