I have a USCIS Receipt number  and I just called NVC and received their case number as well.

Should I start DS 160 right away or should I wait, I am not sure what to do since NVC is not sending the letter right now. Will this win some time to my case?

Please any guidance will be useful.

Send it as soon as possible, NVC is still processing cases, you can still get a CC (case complete) and the sooner you do that the sooner you’ll end up on the queque for an appointment. Remember they’re going to be super backed up when they open, you want to be as high up on the queque as you possibly can

Thanks, I guess I wasn´t sure I could send the DS 160 without the letter from NVC

Im sorry i thought you said the nvc had already given you your case number. That’s all you need to fill out your DS 160 and send everything in. We did a DS 260 and had the mail the evidence but you might even be able upload it and send it that way

If OP is in fact doing a K-1, CC isn't a thing.

It is pinned for each month that I start the Monthly K-1 NOA2 to NVC to Embassy thread. It's in the first post of every month except December and March. All others in 2020 have it pinned. Thanks for the tip. Good luck and stay engaged.
