Anyone have an idea of when the Mumbai Consulate will provide Visa Interviews for Spousal Immigrant Visas? Are they currently being offered?

Resumed processing of IV cases

The Immigrant Visa Unit has begun processing CR1/2 and IR1/2 (spouse and children of U.S Citizens) cases. Effective September 1, 2020, if you have received written notification from the Immigrant Visa Unit at the U.S. Consulate General Mumbai informing you to schedule an appointment for a visa interview, click here to complete the appointment scheduling process.

Yes, a limited number of people have received written notification via email from embassy to reschedule. Please wait for this email before attempting to schedule anything.

I was wondering if people post-lockdown who are DQed are receiving interview letters at the Mumbai Consulate currently?

Are there any folks out there who got DQ'ed between March 2020 and October 2020 who have an interview data? I am trying to figure out if the rescheduled interviews are completed in Mumbai and if they will start the next batches. Which DQ dates have November 2020 interviews?

I think as of now DQ JAN-2020 is in process and all the rescheduled interviews are taking place.. No clue as to when they will start a new batch. I was wondering if CR1 will get faster in terms of getting an interview date sooner since all other immigration visa categories are not being processed until the end of 2020 for the time being-- but it doesn't seem so for now. What do you guys think?

That was our thought too, if other visas are not getting processed, CR1 visas will get faster in terms of getting an interview date. We would appreciate if anyone could let us know which month's DQ are currently getting interview dates.

im waiting to nvc to schedule an appointment with the embassy in Mumbai but someone told me it might take more than a half of a year. I am u.s Citizen and I filed my petition a year ago can someone tell me or guide me to where I might to able to check the time frame of Mumbai embassy?

This is the best time line I can find. May i ask when was your document qualified ? by NVC?? 

Our DQ was done in mid July 2020 and we still waiting for Mumbai Consulate to schedule something. There is no time line provided by NVC or Consulate which is killing us. Good Luck!
