Will the entire package get rejected or I-765?

Hi everyone!

 

We have filed our application and are waiting for NOA1. My question is, i'm pretty sure my I-765 will get rejected due to it being an outdated form (I filed it the same day that they updated the form, sigh), will they reject the entire package or just the I-765? 

I'm under the impression that they  will only reject that assuming that the rest of my application is fine.

 

Just looking to get some insight!

08/25/2020 - Sent I-130, I-485, I-131 and I-765 to Chicago Lockbox using USPS                                         11/06/2020 - Received physical receipt notice for I-765 in the mail

08/28/2020 - Package was received by USCIS                                                                                                   12/15/2020 - Online account updated and indicated the I-944 RFIE was sent

09/25/2020 - Debit Card was charged by USCIS                                                                                                 12/28/2020 - Recieved the I-944 RFIE via e-mail after speaking with a tier 2 officer

09/29/2020 - Recieved text notifications from USCIS with reciept numbers                                                  1/11/2021 - Responded to the RFIE and sent the I-944 to USCIS 

10/01/2020 - Recieved rejected I-765 back                                                                                                           3/3/2021 - Biometrics scheduled for 03/29

10/05/2020 - Recieved physical reciept notices in the mail

10/06/2020 - Sent I-765 to Chicago Lockbox using UPS

10/09/2020 - Package was recieved by USCIS

10/30/2020 - Recieved text notication from USCIS with reciept number for I-765

Our children 765's were rejected and I received the notifications today in the mail. Apparently due to improper payment. I was under the impression that if filed together with the I-130s and I-485 there was no fee. 🤷‍♂️

 

Ours were received by USCIS on August 15 and we filed the right forms at the time. 

 

Didn't get notification that the other forms were rejected.

Which category you chose in your I-765?

That is why I find it interesting that it was rejected for improper fee or no payment submitted. I think it is an error on their part.

Got it. From what I've seen, it seems like only the I-765 will get rejected and returned. That makes me feel a lot better since its a whole lot easier to just send that in instead of having to resubmit the entire application package.

i think you and i sent it out at the same day or a day apart. i'm curious, have you heard anything from them? it's been two weeks now. no payment has been charged to my card

I haven't heard anything back yet. I did read that it can take up to a month to hear anything back from them currently so i'm trying to stay patient. Was your only issue the I-765 as well?

Got it. Well the good news is that they will most likely only reject the I-765 and still process everything else (assuming that all of those are correct) so we should only have to send them the new I-765 if they reject it.

Also, I read that it took between 20-28 days for some people to recieve the electrionic NOA1 and for cash/debit cards to get charged so all we can do is stay patient currently.

 

Please let me know when you hear something back. I'm curious what will happen since we are more or less in the same situation.

Our credit card was charged on Friday.

That's exactly what we are doing. We have the updated form ready to go. Just waiting for them to indicate whether or not it will get rejected. Hoping that it will be before Oct 2nd
