Thanks. Just checked mine and the last update was March 18, 2020 when they cancelled our interview.

I disagree wholeheartedly that we just need to accept this. Accept that it is beyond our control - yes.

Accept the incompetence and mismanagement of everything over the past 7 months? Not a slowball's chance in hell.

They need to be held accountable - I'll hold this same view even if we get our green card in hand tomorrow by some miracle. I'm not just mad because of our situation. I'm mad because they are toying with people's lives without any regard for the consequences it causes them.

I no longer spend my days stressing about this, as I used to several months ago. At this point we've accepted the fact that we may never be able to immigrate to the US successfully and have accepted that fact.

I am 100% UNWILLING however to accept and forgive the incompetence that has been displayed on their end. These injustices should not be accepted or forgiven so easily. They are toying with people's lives with no regard for the outcome or incredible clusterf*ck everyone is in for whenever they do decide it pleases them to do the right thing.

Where can I find case update status for my own case though? Our appointment was cancelled in March - when I open the ais-usvisa-info.com where my appointment is wating, unable to be rescheduled, I have no other info available on my case.

We went through DCF though, so our situation is a little different.

I hear you, it's this administration's fault!

My husband is not a political person at ALL and this year he actually registered to vote because he was so sick of what's been going on. The fact that he actually registered baffles me because I was never able to change his mind before (about voting!) so yeah many people like him are SICK of the current political situation.

Also, you can check the "last updated date" on the ceac website

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

Edit just saw that you checked the ceac status already, keep checking might get an update soon.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve always voted for the ole’ party. Officially sent my ballot the other way this year!

I'm also not very political but am also confused at how the administration is to blame for this consulate in Mexico, when US consulates and embassies around the world have resumed taking appointments again.

To me it seems more like incompetence on the side of US government (already pretty common) combined with the incompetence on the Mexican government's side (kind of the norm).

I know people point to the almost blanket ban on immigration by the Trump administration as trying to appeal to his audience for re-election. But the average American has zero understanding of the immigration process to their own country - they don't know what's happening at CDJ and even if they resumed appointments, to most people "immigration is suspended until 2021", they don't understand the nuance.

That said, how pathetic are we all (not a knock to any of us, we're all in the same position), that we're taking anecdotal evidence of other people's cases being updated with no indication of what that means, as good news?

To a certain extent, I do understand the re-opening the consulate for interviews is not the simplest thing for them to do - but keeping all of us in the dark, providing no guidance or estimates of when things will resume and avoid any questions from desperate families is criminal.
