Actually, getting out of the Philippines is not a problem, I think especially if you are a Filipino married to a foreigner. My USC husband and I left for a 2-week holiday in another country (not the US) earlier this month and have since come back. No fuss getting out from the airport in Manila. Coming back in with a foreigner spouse is the trickiest part of the trip for 2 reasons:

1. Spouses of Filipino citizens should have valid visas to the Philippines prior to their arrival. Before they let you board your flight to Manila, the airline crew would have to see the visa; and

2. Arriving passengers must undergo a mandatory PCR swab test at designated booths at the airport and show proof of a hotel booking where they should stay while waiting for the results of the swab test.

The queue coming back is quite long and airport staff would check on each of the arriving guests.  But I give the Philippine airports credit for streamlining the process. There are also 5-6 forms you should have with you upon arrival.

That,s good to know.  The Bureau of Immigrations has been putting out post that only individuals with "Student Visas & OFW" were allowed to leave.  While the whole time we have reports of K1's and CR1s leaving the Philippines.

And that could change at any moment as well. That's a new rule they started a few days ago needing a entry visa, before you could just present a copy of PI Citizen passport and copy of marriage certificate and get entry.

US citizens should be given entry into Philippines at all times, The USA give the Philippines so much money and aid almost daily, plus I see the US Embassy in Manila reported the USA just sent a bunch of ventilators to Philippines.   USA has scarified alot for the Philippines, just tour the US Military Graveyard in Manila for proof.

The only reason I am not traveling to Philippines at the moment is the silly quarantine rules they have. If I wanted to travel to Davao City I am looking at least 28 days in quarantine between Manila and Davao City.  Who in their right mind would travel to Philippines unless you live there

I know it sucks but the Philippines is not open to tourism yet. But if you are married to a Filipino, you should be able to enter. About the quarantine, I'm not sure but it should only be 14 days total. Only 3-5 days of those would be in an accredited hotel while waiting for swab test results, and the rest can be at home.  Domestic flights have also resumed. It's tricky traveling during a pandemic. One thing I learned--you have to grab the opportunity once it presents itself because the situation is very fluid.

Just make sure you don't transit through Europe.

If you do, they either won't allow you on your connecting flight to the US or if they do, CBP will deny you entry.

To repeat, as spouse of US citizen OP is exempted from this ban.

Yes, I will leave my wife in USA and enter PI when they stop the silly quarantine and liquor ban all over the place in PHilippines.

Had a friends parents leave a few weeks ago to go back to home to Philippines that were here on Tourist Visa.  They had to do 14 days in Manila, and then flew to Davao City and had to do quarantine another 14 days in their house, and as of now they are home quarantined.

It looks like the PHL is adjusting the quarantine levels in increments of 15 days so if you decide to come, please be sure to arrive in between the changes.

Hey, I'm also Filipina. I'm living and working here in Dubai. I'm going to visit my husband in US (my flight is to JFK on Sept 25th) and will stay there for 3 weeks (vacation). Did you manage to enter US on your tourist visa?
