proof of having met...hotel receipt

I'm sending in the hotel receipt for my stay in Bangkok when I met my fiancee. She picked me up from the airport and we checked in together. I just noticed that the hotel mistakenly wrote Mr. and Mrs. <insert our names> on the receipt. If I make a note and tell them that this was a mistake do you think it will still cause a problem? We were never married!

If you have other primary evidence of meeting, I would leave the hotel receipt out. Yes, it COULD cause a problem.

Use copies of stamps in your passport as strong primary evidence - avoid other problems completely that way. Did you buy anything else on your trips with a credit card of have a receipt? The hotel receipt won't be the make-or-break item, most likely.

Thanks for the advice. I was a little worried about that. Unfortunately I didn't use my credit card over there. I have printed out my trip intinerary from Expedia, copied my passport stamp, have my return trip boarding passes, and 5 pictures. Hope that will do it.

I think he's good to go. My fiance sent pretty much the same stuff and we didn't get an RFE.

Besides, while he's waiting for the interview he can gather more evidence, since that's when it's actually needed.

beckypua, that may be more evidence than I had. I provided a photocopy of a bus ticket and a plane boarding pass. I explained on there how my fiancee picked me up in a different town because no bus went to her town. That was pretty much all that I provided.

Yager, I think you'll be fine but don't only take my word for it.

Sorry as I was talking about for the interview. You shouldn't have any problems with the original submission.

I/she was denied the first time around {at interview} for not having enuf pictures. I only had four. They wanted pics with me and her family.

The CO didnt even ask to see any of the other pictures my fiancee brought to the inteview. In fact they didnt ask to see any addtional evidence. What I included in the I-129F was enough. I did include some printout of chats and emails with the original petition and calling card recipts along with the evidence of meeting.

Some people such as myself could not meet more than once. This is fine as long as you can provide things such as phone logs, chat from messenger like Yahoo, letters from snail mail, greeting cards ect....Keep monthly copies of them to bring to interview . If we needed more than one trip to meet .1/3 of the people on this board would not meet that requirement .You only need to meet ONCE in the last two years. Yan passed interview and she is cooking supper now as proof. :)
