1)Does anyone know if they might be processing k1 visas in Morocco?

I noticed an update on their website.

2)Are k1’s excluded ?

3) Can I still set up an interview and pay the MRV FEE? I know there is a one year expiration on the fee.

Im really debating if I should pay the fee and try to set up an interview Or wait .

When the embassy does reopen for interviews spouse visas will have priority and then the K1's that are on hold from cancelled appointments

you have a long wait ahead and your case is at NVC until restrictions are lifted

right now the pandemic is bad in Morocco and the large cities are in lockdown

https://www.france24.com/en/20200727-morocco-shuts-down-major-cities-after-spike-in-covid-19-cases

and until things change ,  the embassy will not be open to reschedule interviews or do new ones

Now the way it works (normal times) for K1 only

NVC sends case to Casa informing you (by email or letter) of needed documents and giving you a paper to be able to schedule the medical exam with a list of drs for this purpose

also telling you to get the 2 criminal reports done

  • Police certificate (fiche anthropometrique) and English translation
  • Court record (casier judiciare) and English translation

Then there is a schedule posted on Casa site with open appointment times

you do not pay the fee till day of interview (at embassy)

one of the criminal reports expires in 90 days and the medicial is only good for 6 months and that is the expiration date of the visa

I’m a bit confused about the fee

because it says that in order to set up an appointment you need to pay the fee first in a Moroccan bank. I’m so lost 😕

It is confusing as the CAsa embassy site says

$265 paid in cash at the Consulate, in either U.S. Dollars or the equivalent in Moroccan Dirhams.

The tourist visa fee is paid as the other site says to the Bank before the interview

It might be possible they changed it 🤷🏻‍♀️
On my profile when we try to set up an appointment is says we need a receipt number . Who knows? but thank you 🙏
