Has anyone had their interview recently? How long did it take to have it scheduled from the NVC email that documents were accepted? Just got our email today and trying to get an idea if I need to cancel my vacation next week to travel to Bucharest for the medical exam.

NVC advise that you schedule your medical exam after you receive your interview appointment date: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-10-prepare-for-the-interview.html

Yes, of course! But I wanted to get an idea if things have been moving fast at the Bucharest embassy and I should expect the interview to be scheduled within the next 2-3weeks. My DQ was received 16 days after I submitted the documents with the NVC - I think that’s pretty fast.

I'd say it takes 2-3 months rather than weeks but as you said, things are moving pretty fast recently. Maybe this post will give you some reference:

They schedule interviews at the end of the month for the upcoming month. If you just got DQ, expect to get an interview in September, they should announce you of this at the end of this month most likely.

The embassy in Bucharest doesn’t have any backlog, they schedule you within a month from DQ. Even before Covid they were working the same way.

Out of curiosity, has your interview been scheduled?

Yes! As someone here mentioned we received the interview letter on Monday, Aug 24. Interview is scheduled for September 21.
