Hello,

I have been LPR for over 10 years and I recently lost my GC.

Need to get it re-issued and I am filling I-90 form but can not figure out what visa category I am.

I entered US with K1 Visa  got married. Received GC with condition (CR1 category )  and now my current and lost 10 years.

What visa category am I now ? IR6 ?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you !

You could be IR1 or IR6  provided you are still married to your spouse. Here is a link to the codes: https://www.usimmigration.org/faq/what-are-the-green-card-category-codes

I will let someone else chime in but I believe when I received my 10 year card after ROC it was IR1

Acc to the following, IR-6 is for those who did AOS as spouse of a USC -- which is your case.

What is IR6 greencard?

To add to Matt Pickering's correct answer, IR6 refers specifically to a greencard issued to the spouse of a US citizen via "adjustment of status", i.e. to someone who married a US citizen while already in the US legally under another immigration status (e.g. as an F-1 student or H1-B employee). Someone who marries a US citizen and applies for a green card from outside the US falls under the IR1 (or CR1, if they have been married for less than 2 years) category.

Hello! My Green Card first had CR6 on it than after ROC it became IR6 category, I entered as fiance K-1. The thing is both of our GC's are wrong 😀

From the beginning we supposed to have:

CF-1

Alien whose record of admission is created upon the conclusion of a valid marriage contract after entering as a fiance or fiancee of a U.S. citizen. Conditional.

Later,

IF-1

Alien whose record of admission is created upon the conclusion of a valid marriage contract after entering as a fiance or fiancee of a U.S. citizen.

Your right and now that you mention it, CF-1 was the original category that I had then IF-1. I naturalized about a year ago so I don’t have my GC’s anymore

Was it CR1 for sure?

If yes, than it would IR1 for 10 year old.

If you have any photocopy's of your card you can see a category code on it.

But if you entered as K-1 fiance it should be (CF1 / IF1)

No, it wasnt CR-1. Thats a person who entered on a spousal visa who was married under 2 years. I just found a copy of my old gc on my computer, after removing conditions my Green Card category was IF1.
