I Just recieved this from the Senators office......the problem is I have recieved the same notice from them since November 1 when they told me the same thing....Now it is 30 days later and I get the same response........OMG....Help Us

This is the response I just received:

A88 376 875---the case is with an adjudicating officer for processing as of 11/28/07 and the petitioner should be hearing from this office in approximately 30 more days.

Debby Burroughs

Caseworker

Office of Senator Jim Webb

Congrats Larisa...........I wish the best to you......

I got the same response from my senator as well. Except they said don't call back until the New Year. :crying::ranting:

Who said that.....the Senators office or USCIS?......because if it is your Senator you do have recourse to that.......b##ch at the Senator him or herself...they are elected.......If USCIS keep calling and writing.......this is the most screwed up process I have ever seen........SCREAMING...oops the monitor went off.......O.K....I am out of this place.....home to cook dinner and have a big glass of red wine.....good for my heart........

I called the WHITE HOUSE. Was advised to call the HOMELAND SECURITY DEPARTMENT and ask for the NATURALIZATION AND IMMIGRATION DEPARTMENT. They did not answer after 4pm today...but I WILL be calling back on Monday with my complaint. May I suggest we ALL call...with numbers, statistics and how the processing is so out of order. I will be demanding that they pull my file, April and May files that still need worked to have them expedited. I think at this point its only fair. The issues to point out are:

1. The mismanagement of the site to adequately be prepared for the fee increase and the issues surrounding the H1 visas. That they were not properly staffed and we as "customers" should not have to be penalized for that.

2. Due to misinformation, lost/misplaced crates we are making this request

3. That if this process was managed properly, we, as April, May, June Filers should have been on an adjudicators desk LONG before AUGUST filers are approved or even TOUCHED.

4. That most of us are nearing, at or OVER the processing times while others filing months after us are now being worked.

The number to call is 202-282-8000. Please...if you really mean what you say about tired of waiting, or if you have offered support...call....

I'll call first thing Monday and see who we need to address these issues to.

Any more suggestions?

I WILL be calling. I love that they all already went home at 4 p.m. So friggin typical. I will be calling first thing Monday morning!!!!!! The problem I seem to get though when I call about my case etc, is the response "well, maybe there is something special about your case", "maybe your name check hasn't come back yet", etc. HOW CAN THEY SAY THIS? Even so, people in August should not be in front of me. PERIOD!!!! I never know how to give a satisfactory answer to those responses. Thats when I get all flustered!

Anybody else get a leter from VSC about the chocololate? :

Dear Sir?Madam:

The Vermont Service Center has received several boxes of chocolates from you. Although we appreciate your generosity, we are unable to accept such gifts. Therefore, we have donated these gifts to a local charity.

blah, blah, we will get to your case when hell freezes over ... "Your petition will be adjudicated based on the order in which it was received."

 That's richer than the chocolates - the order in which it was received!!!

At least it went to charity. I bet there were quite a few boxes based on the pasts I've seen :D

Government employees, with very few exceptions, aren't allowed to accept gifts. It's a violation of ethics laws. That's pretty nice that they donated them to charity instead of just tossing them in the bin.

As tough as it is waiting right now, consider this: your gift probably not only served as an act of good will towards the service center management and employees, but it also brightened someone else's day too, via the charity. That's pretty cool.

Actually we had some input from people with experience with the gift acceptance issue and were told the limit was $25. So we addressed them to all the staff and hoped it wouldn't cause a problem. I imagine the director made the call and decided to play it safe. The important thing is that he obviously noticed the numerous boxes. And it is nice they went to a charity.

"Sir, you are right, there IS something special about my case. However, This is about the fact that while my life is put on hold, someone elses file who petitione 1-2 months AFTER me are getting to an adjudicators desk BEFORE mine does. THATS just not right. Im sure if you paid your credit card bill on the 15th of every month, but they processed the payments recieved on the FIRST of the FOLLOWING month before yours making your payment late, then raising your interest to 30%, you'd have a major issue with that. You'd say it was poorly managed. Wouldn't you agree? All Im asking is for those of us that have had to wait ungodly and unfair times to have our cases expedited and completed in a timely fashion. Now, will you please find out where in the process my petition is, and when I can expect to hear something? I dont want the typical scripted answer, I want a REAL answer. Otherwise my next step is to go further up the ladder til I find someone that WILL listen and WILL help me. You can do this for me, right? "

THATS what Amr calls them...but a bit more polite. LAZY BOY. is what he has nicked named our adjudicator. But thats not fair either, as much as I want to say it. Our adjudicator never got our file till November 21..THATS my issue. People from mid JULY were being approved WHILE my file wasn't even on the FLOOR yet...THATS why we deserve an answer...how did that happen, why, and what will they do to FIX it. In the REAL world this has caused soo much pain and suffering, I could have sued by now...hmmmmm...now THERES an idea...sue for unwarranted pain and suffering??? Personal Injury...ohh my...im reaching out there far now...aren't I
