And we get reports that people are doing spousal interviews last week when the embassy is supposedly "closed'

Yeah faking it about the interviews, its only for emergency situations.

How did you find that they are not accepting from 2go? My fiance sent hers in around May, but we have not heard anything. She asked for confirmation from the embassy, but got no reply. The CEAC status date for her application just started updating the last 2 days.

Well I have been checking the phase reopening from the US. I know there are alot of couples in similar situations. Cr 1 visas should be processed.

Yes I reached out to my senator on this as CR1/IR1 are supposed to be processed. Vietnam's embassy opened to process these types of VISAs. My wife has been waiting since March for an interview which to me seems could easily be bypassed.

The embassy announcement today doesn't have the usual wording about routine visa services being suspended.

Define "Emergency".  The ones I have seen post didn't have an emergency, Seems as if they were doing spousal and you had to be in Manila to the interview, since most outside that area would have to travel and that seems to be the issue.

I don't know how they procured an interview...NVC has yet to transfer our CR1 paperwork to the embassy

I assume the is more bad information eluding to the fact that they either are or will be soon, scheduling "Immigrant" Visa's? Though bad info because they don't specifically state any hard facts, except to tell people what they should be doing and not what the Consulate is doing or will be doing.

Just found out that the 2go package we sent from Angeles to the embassy in Manila in May was not delivered until the end of June. Maybe the embassy was not open until then? It's hard to imagine things being that slow usually.

This is some idiot who works for the USEM, I have watched the nonsense this person has posted the last few months.  It is real apparent to me the person who does the posting on FB for the US Embassy is a non American due to what is posted and how they post.

I follow the US Embassy in Philippines FB page for the laughs...

Thanks, how about retaking of the medical at Saint Luke's for my spouse.  It expired in June during the lockdown. Can she just walk in. The Us embassy has her passport. Can she use a copy of passport and a Id.
